Stylejuku is hiring. Help build our 2009 Summer Catalog

If you love fashion and want to help people look great during these difficult times – we need you! We are looking for up-and-coming stylists to help us put together lookbooks for our 2009 Summer Catalog. Here is how it works:

1) Show us your stuff by submitting three lookbooks from any of the categories below (feel free to submit from a variety of categories).

2) If you pass the test, we will pay you to create additional lookbooks for a wide variety of mens, women’s and kids categories.

3) This is a short term contract position. Stylists will be paid per lookbook created. We expect to hire a number of people to help create our initial catalog.

Trendy Office: Trendy outfits under $200 for women to wear to work. Outfits should include a minimum of three items. When publishing your lookbooks, please tag them: Summer Trendy Office 2009.

Classic Casual: Casual outfits under $200 for women that are classic in style. Outfits should include a minimum of three items. When publishing your lookbooks, please tag them: Summer Classic Casual 2009.

Feminine Nightlife: Outfits for a night out on the town for under $200 that help a woman show off her feminine side. Outfits should include a minimum of three items. When publishing your lookbooks, please tag them: Summer Feminine Nightlife 2009.

Alternative Resort/Vacation: Outfits for under $200 that show of the funky alternative side of a woman on vacation. Outfits should include a minimum of three items. When publishing your lookbooks, please tag them: Summer Alternative Vacation 2009.

Grand Opening Contest

We’re excited to announce our first contest at Stylejuku.  We want to start by allowing you to really show off your style, so this is an open contest where you can create outfits without limitations.  Show us what you got and share your lookbooks with your friends.  The top three lookbooks with the top total scores ending Sunday Feb 22nd at 11:59pm PT will win $100 gift cards from Zappos.com.

Here’s how to participate:

1) Create a lookbook at Stylejuku.com

2) When publishing your lookbook, be sure to include the tag “grandopening”.  This tag will let us know you are submitting the lookbook to this contest.  Feel free to submit as many lookbooks as you want.

3)  Tell your friends to check out your lookbook and vote for you.  Top 3 scores will win.

The prize:  $100 gift cards from Zappos.com will be awarded to the three lookbooks with the highest total score (only one gift card per stylist).

What is total score?:  Total score is the cumulative of all the scores you receive.  So if five people score your lookbook at four stars each, your total score is 20 points.

Yes!  Stylejuku!

What does it mean?  Literally – it means Style School.  And that’s what we envision Stylejuku being – a fun community where anyone can express their sense of style or explore the styles of others.

Here are a few ways you can participate:

- Show off your style by creating a lookbook:  Use our lookbook designer to put together an outfit.  Be creative!  Make outfits for a variety of occasions (work, school, etc), seasons or even your mood.  You have access to over 100,000 products from dozens of popular retailers.  Once your done, share your lookbook on your blog, post it on Facebook or just email it to your friends.

- Browse and score the lookbooks of other stylists:  If you are looking for inspiration, check out lookbooks from other members.  Leave comments, save your favorites and don’t forget to leave a grade!  We tally up all scores and show top stylists on our leaderboards!

- Participate in our weekly contests:  Every week we hold contests on a variety of themes and topics.  If you really want to show off your style, create a lookbook and submit it for a chance to win gift cards from your favorite retailers.
